Changing your boiler
Did you know that up to 60% of your household's CO2 emissions are
produced by your boiler? This is why by upgrading your boiler to an
A-rated condensing boiler can save you up to 40% on your gas bills
(between £190 and £230 a year), improve the efficiency
of your heating system and reduce up to 1.7 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
To help you save further energy the right heating controls have to
be fitted to the system to comply with Building Regulations, which

Once your new boiler is installed we will register the installation
with Gas Safe Register™, which will then issue a certificate
and send it directly you. This certificate is required for any Home
Information Pack.
By law all new gas boilers fitted in England and Wales, (with a few
exceptions) must be condensing boilers and can only be installed,
as from 1st April 2009, by Gas Safe™ Registered engineers.
Power flushing
When you install a new condensing boiler we recommend to that you
also have your central heating system power flushed to prevent any
sludge present in your radiators and heating system to clog up your
new boiler.
A professional power flush is a thorough cleansing of your central
heating and the benefits include:
- Substantially improving your central heating efficiency
- Extending the life of your new boiler
- Preventing breakdowns of heating pumps
- Reducing your gas bills
- Complying to building regulations
- Minimising boiler warranty problems
It is specified in Part L of the Building Regulations that all central
heating systems must be thoroughly power flushed prior to the installation
of a new boiler. In addition, for many boiler manufacturers, power
flushing is a requirement prior to commissioning a new boiler or the
warranty might be invalidated.
